Maybe what they want is grammatical rules, they can have fun with those rules ?
if they want concret : well list of vocabulary to learn, grammatical course and basta

well all my language classes have been boring even if the teacher was trying his best all the time, BUT I m sure there is a way to make it better ! and most important : usefull because I certainly didnt learn my english in class...

ooh one english class we werre watching a serie at the end of the class each time, it was very good, like everybody get a bit tired (it was friends) maybe is there a nice french serie ?

Grammar is boring indeed... Even for me! haha. But well yeah, yesterday, 2 students asked me if we could revise grammar. I know that most of the others won't like it, but hey, I'm the teacher! lol.
Anyway, good idea to watch a series at the end, but we've got class form 6.15pm to 8.15pm and most of them leave at 8 because they need to catch the bus. And honestly, a good French series?! haha, I'm joking but that's kind of hard to find!

Did you think about "un Gars/une Fille" ? It's not really a french series but maybe it can interested your students.

I am quite alone in my room ! But I'm also lonely, these times. I know I can't expect my friends to be here all day, but K. is somewhere (and I don't know where) and didn't tell me.

It's so weird to feel like that. She was with me from the very moment I used to wake up to the moment I used to go to bed. He's been here all this week... now, I don't even know where he is and what he's doing!

Hey yeah, completely forgot that series! But the problem is that my students have to practice "academic" French since they are exchange students and have to learn how to write a dissertation in French, how to make a presentation, etc, so very academic activities. At first I tried with "light" things, and it seems they didnt like it. So now, I'm working on newspaper articles, summaries, dissertations, etc. Boring, but that's what they need and want to learn.
But anywyay, thanks for your advice!

Otherwise, my group of Chinese students is really cool! A girl offered me an apple and another one told me she loved my dress! haha

I'm kind of worried...my best friend was suppose to give birth last friday and nothing happenned so far. She's very anxious so that's not goin to help the baby to come! Plus she lives in Birmingham, I feel so useless! I can't do anything to help her and she seems so desperate

I invited some of my friends from highschool for a little party, but for the moment we are only 5, the others can't come. And I'm not a leader, I don't know how to "animate it". So ... I think they are going to be disappointed, and I really don't like that idea !

"The treatments slaves received from their masters were very tremendously. Some owners were brutal sadists who worked their slaves mercilessly and threatened them with a corporal discipline so painful that it demanded for torture."

I think I'm wrong with the "demanded" because I don't really understand the sentence in that case... But I'm sure one of the madz will correct it! Anyway, I think instead of demanded, it's something like "was like". Hope I helped you out!
